| Mimix Broadband, Inc. Introduces 37 to 40 GHz Highly Integrated, QFN
Packaged Up-Converter
XU1019-QH Delivers +20 dBm IIP3 and 7 dB Conversion Gain
November 30, 2009, Houston, Texas - Mimix Broadband, Inc. introduces
today a 37 to 40 GHz GaAs MMIC up-converter that integrates an image
reject balanced mixer, LO buffer amplifier, LO doubler and RF buffer
amplifier within a fully molded 4x4mm QFN package. This RoHS-compliant,
packaged up-converter has an input third order intercept point (IIP3) of
+20 dBm, a conversion gain of 7 dB and an image rejection of greater
than 15 dBc. The device can be tuned to give 2xLO leakage of less than
-25 dBm; variable gain regulation can be achieved by adjusting the bias,
with turn-down trajectories optimized to maintain linearity and minimal
2xLO leakage over the gain control range. The XU1019-QH is well suited
for point-to-point (PTP) radio, LMDS, SatCom and VSAT applications.
"The XU1019-QH delivers exceptional 2xLO leakage and image rejection
performance in the 38 GHz PTP radio band, with IIP3 and conversion gain
exceeding typical application requirements," stated David Richardson,
Product Line Director, Mimix Broadband, Inc. "The XU1019-QH completes
the 38 GHz up-converter/driver/PA Mimix SmartSet chipset, all in surface
mount packages. The complete chipset allows radio designers to implement
a high performance, low cost 38 GHz transmit stage, which can be fully
assembled in standard SMD assembly lines."
The device is 100% RF and DC tested. Engineering samples are available
today from stock, with a lead time of 14 weeks for production
quantities. Technical support is also available from Mimix's
applications engineers at 281.988.4600. The XU1019-QH datasheet and
additional product information can be obtained from the Mimix Broadband
website at www.mimixbroadband.com .
